Flooding closes roads, strands drivers across North Jersey

A gush of heavy rain Monday morning caused cars to be stuck in flood waters throughout the region, and forced the temporary closure of part of Route 3 in Clifton. Eastbound Route 3 is open, but westbound lanes as of noon remained closed because of flooding near the Garden State Parkway exits.
